The Dallas Cowboys recently secured a victory over the league-leading 13-2 Philadelphia Eagles, thanks in part to the efforts of wide receiver T.Y. Hilton. Hilton, who recently signed with the team, caught a crucial 52-yard pass on a 3rd & 30 play during the game.
With a long and successful career in the league, including four Pro Bowl appearances, Hilton is quickly establishing himself as a valuable asset to the Cowboys as they prepare for their playoff run.
But just how good is Hilton? According to his longtime teammate with the Indianapolis Colts, former quarterback Andrew Luck, Hilton was the best football player he ever played with.
“I had more fun throwing the football to T.Y. than should be allowed probably.When I was away in 2017, for the latter half of the season, I had to figure out why I wanted to come back to play football. And I boiled it simply down to the fact that I liked my friends and I loved throwing the ball to T.Y. Hilton. He’s the best football player I’ve ever played with and he’s a better teammate than he is a football player.”

In his Dallas debut, Hilton flashed the quickness and sure hands that made him a Pro Bowl player. And as Cowboys’ owner and general manager, Jerry Jones, recently pointed out during a radio interview with 105.3 The Fan, Hilton displayed veteran savvy by not extending his hands too early on that critcal catch against Philly.
A third-round selection by the Colts back in 2012 out of Florida Atlantic, Hilton’s impressive career has spanned over a decade. During his time as a pro he’s consistently proven himself to be a top-tier wide receiver. In addition to his four Pro Bowl appearances, Hilton led the NFL in receiving yards (1,448) in 2016. These accolades are a testament to his talent and dedication to his craft.
Off the field, T.Y. Hilton is known for being a great teammate and a positive influence in the locker room.
